Mucis Makes the World Go Round

Visitors to the Wales Millennium Centre will be entertained by a world music performance featuring Cardiff school children there next week. Pupils from St Albans RC and Adamsdown Primary Schools will be in the spotlight on the Glanfa stage at the WMC on Monday November 28 (1pm), celebrating world music.

The performance is the culmination of a 10 week project, designed by the Music Development Team to awaken the musician in every child, and encourage global awareness amongst pupils. . The performance is free and people are encouraged to come along to enjoy the performance which will feature music from Celtic, Latin American, Indian and African traditions in a variety of languages, in what promises to be a colourful and joyful celebration.

Executive Member for Education and Lifelong Learning, Cllr Freda Salway, said: “Performing at the WMC will be an excellent experience for the children. I’m sure they will enjoy the opportunity and equally, visitors to the centre will be impressed by their fun, lively performance. “I’d encourage anyone who works in the bay area or will be visiting on Monday to pop in and enjoy the lunchtime show.”
