An award-winning expert on the UK high street is inviting Welsh retailers to take part in a series of free masterclasses in attracting and retaining customers.
A renowned keynote speaker Kate Hardcastle, who regularly features as an analyst of the British retail market for the BBC, Channel 4 and Sky News, will be holding interactive workshops in Swansea, Cardiff, Aberystwyth and Bangor, from June 23-26, hosted by Business Wales.
Each masterclass will equip attendees with innovative ideas on how to maximise the impact of their shop floor, from bringing products to life to ensuring their business has the right look, smell and even taste to attract customers.
Kate will also share advice picked up from her career, having held senior and board-level roles in a number of national companies before founding business transformation organisation Insight with Passion.
Kate has won numerous awards including Outstanding Business Woman of the Year at the Women in Business Awards, Trade Marketing Campaign and the Consumer Marketing Campaign of the Year awards from the Marketing Society and the Tesco Enterprising Mum of the Year award.
Kate said: “Consumers today have more power than ever before meaning businesses have to work smarter and harder to attract and retain customers.
“Loyalty is an extremely strong factor in the buying process. Consumers like to receive good service and be shown respect on a regular basis but this can be difficult to find.
“The course will be modelled on our ‘oomph’ workshops that have been delivered worldwide. It will provide attendees with the stepping stones for how to offer the best service to a consumer and achieve that loyalty.”
The free masterclasses, which form part of Business Wales’ comprehensive programme of business events, will take place in:
- Swansea, Monday June 23, at the Dragon Hotel, 5pm until 9pm
- Cardiff, Tuesday June 24 at the Village Hotel from 9am until 1pm
- Aberystwyth, Wednesday June 25 at the Conrah Hotel from 9am until 1pm
- Bangor, Thursday June 26 from at The Management Centre, Bangor Business School from 1pm until 5pm
