Murder of David Williams, Swansea: Arrests made: Further police appeal

The two men arrested in connection with the murder of David Williams on Friday 7th January 2011, whose body was found during the early hours of that day, appeared at the Neath Magistrates Court yesterday where the police were granted an additional 36 hours to detain the two men for questioning.

A third, thirty year old, man has now also been arrested in connection with the murder who appeared before the Neath Magistrates, where the police were again granted another 36 hrs to detain the man for questioning.

The police are continuing to examine CCTV and to trace and interview friends of the victim. It has been established that he was last seen at around 1.30am on Friday near the YMCA in St Helens Road, before his body was discovered a few hours later shortly after 4am near the Iceland Store in the Swansea City centre.

The police are still appealing for witnesses to come forward who can help establish the victim’s movements on the night of Thursday 6th January 2011 up until the discovery of his body, and would also like to speak to anyone who may have any useful information that could assist the investigation.
