Music in the Vale Young Musicians to WOW audiences at a new venue

The Music in the Vale competition offers all its finalists the opportunity to perform at an evening concert in front of a live audience.

There is a wealth of young musical talent in the area and Music in the Vale aims to support them and offer them guidance and help along the way. On the evenings of Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th November the doors open to the public at 6:30pm for the young musicians’ gala performances. The performers are the successful four finalists selected from their respective category during the day’s preliminary rounds.

This year the entire competition is being held in Cowbridge Comprehensive School. This is a new venue for Music in Vale and it promises to be one of the best years yet. The purpose built theatre is the perfect setting for the evening concerts but will also be used as one of the main audition rooms during the day. The new building, with its wonderful atrium and spacious hallways and classrooms, is ideal for the organisations’ needs. It is thanks in no small part to Gordon Kemp that the move was made possible. He is a stalwart supporter of the competition as is Jane Hutt AM both of whom will be attending the concerts along with other invited dignitaries from Cowbridge, Barry and Llantwit town councils.

Adut tickets are priced at only £5 with Students and under 18’s being admitted without charge. Tickets can be purchased on-line at www.musicinthevale.org.uk or at Xantippe, Cowbridge (cash only).
