Police in Merthyr Tydfil are appealing for the safe return of musical instruments which went missing following a car theft on Monday (April 7, 2014).
The instruments were being kept in the boot of a blue Kia that was stolen from Castle Street car park, Merthyr Tydfil.
The vehicle itself was found a day later after it had been abandoned in Cherry Grove, Merthyr Tydfil, but the instruments have not yet been recovered.
Some of the instruments have distinctive markings making them easily identifiable.
Officers are confident that somebody knows who is responsible and where the property is.
They are urged to call South Wales Police via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Items missing include:
- Silver Miyazawa flute in a black case with black lining.
- Wooden Buffet R13 clarinet with crystal Lucien mouthpiece in a black leather case.
- Silver vintage Alto saxophone with ‘Hessy’s music store, Liverpool’ engraved on the bell, stored in a light and dark blue Ritter soft case.
- Silver Buffet flute in black Ritter red-lined Ritter saxophone case.
- Jupiter trumpet with CMS No.234 on the case.
- Plastic Buffet B10 clarinet in black case with blue lining – CMS no. 538.
- Three tenor recorders (Aulos and Yamaha).
