You’d be surprised to know what’s flying about in your local area after dark – over 2,500 species of moth have been recorded in Britain and they come in all shapes and sizes.
You can celebrate National Moth Night at Moelyci Environmental Centre, where you’ll get a chance to see some of these fascinating creatures up close.
Jointly organised by Moelyci and Gwynedd Council this National Moth Night event is an excellent opportunity for all ages to learn more about the moths you can find in Gwynedd and the importance of moths in the wider environment.
We’ll be meeting at Moelyci Environmental Centre, Lon Felin Hen, Tregarth (near Bangor, Grid Reference SH593678) at 8pm on Saturday, May 15. It’s not necessary to book just bring a torch, dress warmly and wear strong footwear.
