Commenting on the announcement from the Prime Minister that next year’s NATO summit will be held at the Celtic Manor in South Wales, Andrew RT Davies AM, Leader of the Opposition, said:
“This is very welcome news that Wales will once again be playing a prominent role on the world stage.
“The Prime Minister holding global diplomatic talks in South Wales with the most powerful leaders in the world shows the world-class venues Wales has to offer.
“Following on from the successful Ryder Cup in 2010, the NATO summit cements the reputations of the city of Newport and the Celtic Manor for hosting major events.”
