Neath Festival returns on Thursday 5th May with an exciting programme that promises something for everyone.
Once again, kindly sponsored by GE Baglan Bay Power Station, the Festival runs for just over the week starting with an Italian Market in Angel Square from the 5th to the 7th with an Italian Themed Evening at the Castle Hotel on the 6th.
The programme this year contains a mix of events from Neath Community Fete, performances from Neath Polyphonic Choir, Fame Theatre School, Neath Amateur Operatic Society Youth Theatre and Côr Seranata.
For those of you who’d like to do something worthwhile for a good cause there’s a Christian Aid Social Evening at St David’s Church on the 9th and for a bit of fun there’s High Tea and Hobby Horses on the 12th at the Moose Hall to include virtual horse racing and bucks fizz!
South Wales’ ‘Mr Popular’, Kevin Johns will be at Neath Library on the 10th to chat and talk about his life and there will be a cookery and craft competition in the Town Hall on the 14th with lots of activities to keep everyone busy.
Suzette Phillips, Events Organiser for Neath Port Talbot said, “Neath Festival week is an ideal opportunity for the people of Neath to come together as a community and enjoy the varied programme and activities. We are extremely grateful to GE for their sponsorship again this year”.
