Neath town centre is to host another Food and Drink Festival thanks to funding from the Welsh Assembly Government.
Neath Port Talbot Council has been successful in securing a grant of £9999 from the Assembly’s ‘True Taste of Wales’ programme with a contribution as well from the Council.
Other sponsors include Neath Town Council and Neath Communities First.
Now running for the third year, the Festival has proved to be extremely popular attracting crowds of people into Neath to experience the delights of local produce – some of the finest produced in the world.
Connoisseurs can sample the delights of unique cheeses and wines, famous Welsh beef and lamb and fresh fish and seafood – the Festival has it all.
This year’s festival has been extended to a two day event, Friday 7th and Saturday 8th October.
Businesses of all sizes can once again showcase their products and traders from across South Wales are invited to sell their mouth watering local food and drinks.
Neath Port Talbot Council leader, Ali Thomas, said, “The Festival is going from strength to strength and is proving to be a popular event on Neath Port Talbot’s calendar.
“Thanks to the grant, the Festival will attract lots of people and bring a vibrant atmosphere into the town centre over the weekend.”
Application forms will be issued in due course.
