The Bishop of Bangor is pleased to announce the appointment of the Revd Paul Davies as the Archdeacon of Bangor. Paul currently serves in the diocese of St Davids where he is the vicar of Burry Port and Diocesan Director of Ordinands.
He is married to Louise who is a Town and Country Planner and has two children, Llinos and Gwilym. A fluent Welsh speaker who hails from Pembrokeshire, Paul is delighted to be moving north to serve in the diocese. In addition to his archidiaconal duties he will minister to the congregations of Llanfair Mathafarn Eithaf with Llanbedrgoch and Pentraeth and reside in the Archdeaconry in Bangor.
Speaking of the appointment the Bishop said ‘Paul is an exceptionally able priest who brings energy and experience to this office. He has recently completed a challenging re-build in Burry Port and has demonstrated that parishes can grow when they are well resourced and have a clear vision for the future. I am delighted he is joining our team and look forward to welcoming the family early next year’.
