A new £650,000 bowling pavilion and green has been opened in Ebbw Vale – to the delight of local bowlers.
The new facilities at Ebbw Vale Welfare Ground will be home to the RTB and Ebbw Vale bowls clubs and will also host major Welsh tournaments.
The project was a partnership between Blaenau Gwent Council and the Welsh Assembly Government’s Heads of the Valleys Programme.
Brian Chambers – Chairman of RTB Bowls Club – said: “We’re thrilled and we look forward to many successful years here.”
The new, modern pavilion has four changing rooms, two kitchens, accommodation for grounds staff, a boiler room, toilets, a community area and spectators’ veranda.
