Tenby Community Learning Centre is celebrating the New Year by offering two new courses.
A beginners’ workshop entitled ‘Make a felt bag in a day’ will be held on Saturday 22nd January between 10am and 3.30pm.
The workshop is designed as a fascinating and enjoyable introduction to felt making, enabling you to get the feel for the material and how it works. Using local fleeces and merino wool you will be able to create your own stunning felt bag or tea cosy by the end of the session.
Or why not try an ‘Introduction to samba drumming’ at Greenhill School, Tenby, on Tuesday 1st February, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
The free taster session, led by Jez Holden, musical director of Samba Doc, will give you an insight into the world of samba drumming.
Anyone over the age of 16 is welcome to attend and there is no upper limit! If you get hooked you may want to sign up for the course starting on 8th February when you will learn more about samba patterns and rhythms, but come and have a go first to see if it is the course for you.
To book a place on either of these courses, or find out more, phone Tenby Community Learning Centre on 01834 843297.
