Cardiff Council’s Leisure Services has invested over £40k in a brand new selection of state-of-the-art gym equipment which has been installed at Pentwyn Leisure Centre.
The new apparatus is from the Life Fitness Integrity range. It boasts cardio vascular fitness machines comprising of cross trainers, exercise bikes, a recumbent bike and treadmills which are even equipped with the facility to charge your mp3 device as you train!
The upgrade aims to offer customers up-to-date and modern equipment to compete with the private sector but at a better value for money.
The Council now offers customers the opportunity to join the Frozen for Life incentive, a promotion which allows people to commit to paying the same price for their Active Leisure membership, for as long as they remain members of the scheme.
By becoming a committed member, the Council is guaranteeing that the price will never increase and will remain the same every single year.
The promotion aims to reward both loyal and new customers by promising that their membership rate will remain the same every month from the day they sign up.
The initiative offers value for money to people who enjoy sport and leisure activities and can be up to 17 per cent cheaper than paying as you go for uncommitted users of the facilities.
The Active Card scheme offers great value for money for those wanting to get fit and improve their health and wellbeing, allowing access to 12 council leisure facilities throughout the city which boast amenities such as gyms, swimming pools, fitness classes, racquet sports, athletics and cycling.
The scheme is a simple way of paying for leisure and saving money.
Pentwyn Leisure Centre is one of the many facilities across the city that has undergone upgrades or refurbishments recently, providing the latest exercise equipment as well as new activities such as Zumba, kettle bell’s and spin classes.
