Former Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan pupil Darren Millar AM has welcomed the appointment of a new headteacher at his old school.
Lee Cummins has taken on the lead role at the Abergele high school after former headteacher Nayland Southern left last year.
Darren said:
“Emrys ap Iwan is a great community school that has achieved a lot over the years. Having met Mr Cummins I am confident that he will do a sterling job in taking the school forward and leading the excellent team of staff there.
“Change can sometimes be difficult, but with Mr Cummins’ wealth of experience I am sure the transition will be a smooth one and the school will continue to flourish. I welcome Mr Cummins to Abergele and wish him all the very best in his new position.”
