New lease of life for Bull’s Head in Brecon

The award-winning West Wales brewer Evan-Evans is looking for a new management couple for the soon-to-be-refurbished Bull’s Head in Brecon.

The company is investing in a major refurbishment to bring the Bull’s Head back to life. The development, due to start shortly, will be completed in mid-May, with the construction of new bedrooms and a river terrace.

The Chief Executive of Evan-Evans brewery, Simon Buckley, said: “We have decided to invest heavily in the Bull’s Head and to turn it into a classic ale house with ‘Bunk House’ accommodation. “This will be a special pub in Brecon and be another showcase for our ale brands. “We hope to create a new style of pub for Brecon, that centres on value-for-money, high quality food and realistically-priced ‘Bunk House’ accommodation.

“This is the first of a series of developments aimed at walkers both here and in North Wales.

“The plan will mean that this currently closed pub will come back to life and create a new market in Brecon for walkers and casual visitors to the town.

“This will be a well remunerated job for an experienced couple, with high standards and operational experience.

“Couples interested in applying for the job should apply by email to [email protected], sending an up-to-date passport photograph and CV.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hard working, hands-on couple, who want to make a name for themselves in the licensed trade.” Applications should be received by March 16.
