The new look Caerphilly Visitor Guide 2011 was launched on St David’s Day at The Visit Caerphilly Centre.
This year the guide has undergone some changes to give it a more contemporary and fresh look. There is more emphasis on the fabulous countryside and heritage in the county borough with some stunning photographs that really showcase just what visitors can expect to see when they visit. The guide also features some quirky facts and highlights the humour and culture of the valleys.
The new guides have been flying off the shelf at The Visit Caerphilly Centre, with visitors commenting on its fantastic content and stunning photographs.
Cllr Ron Davies, Caerphilly CBC Cabinet member for Regeneration & Countryside said “It is wonderful to see the Caerphilly county borough presented so strikingly in this new guide and it makes me very proud to both represent and live within this area. The Caerphilly county borough boasts a range of attractions from timeless historic landmarks to breathtaking country parks, so promoting greater tourism opportunities is important for the local economy. I would encourage residents and visitors alike to pick up a copy and find out what’s on offer.”
Overseas visitors Sandra Kugler from Germany and Silvia Alema from Italy who called into The Visit Caerphilly Centre on St David’s Day, said “The guide will prove invaluable whilst visiting the area, we are staying in Whitchurch but hope to see many of the attractions in featured in the Caerphilly guide.
