Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Richard Hopkins has recently joined the Old Colwyn Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Richard, who is an experienced PCSO, will work alongside Community Beat Manager, PC Mike Williams, to police the wards of Colwyn and Eirias.
Richard said: “Our aim is to be part of the local community, out and about on the streets and known to local people so that we can successfully address their concerns.
We are also available to give advice to local people and work out of the Old Colwyn Police post at the Interchange.”
The latest advice from the Old Colwyn team is for motorists to keep their vehicles safe.
PC Williams said: “It is timely to remind people to park in well lit and visible locations, fold in wing mirrors if possible and put the aerial down. Remove all your personal possessions and valuables and if your stereo is detachable take it out. Remove the sat nav and make sure you lock all the doors, windows and sunroof.”
