New refreshment kiosk for Aberavon Beach

Neath Port Talbot Council is about to take delivery of a refreshment kiosk to be located at Aberavon Seafront.

The high quality modular building will also house unisex toilets, a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities.

The specially designed kiosk will sell items such as ice creams, teas, coffees and beach toys and will be surrounded by a paving area for tables and chairs.

Built with metal prefabricated panels, the rounded roof will have a contemporary stainless steel covering with a high standard interior finish.

The windows are powder coated aluminium with security glass and electric shutters for added security.

The £100,000 state of the art kiosk will further complement the huge private and public investment already made at Aberavon Seafront over the last ten years.

More regeneration schemes are in the pipeline and include a toddler’s play area, a seafront shelter and new signage.

Council Leader, Ali Thomas, said, “This is more good news for all visitors to the seafront where there will be further facilities for refreshments and for beach goods as well as more toilet facilities.

“I am delighted to see this going ahead. People like to visit Aberavon seafront all year round, and these facilities will further enhance their enjoyment.”

The kiosk is expected to open next month.
