What better way to start your Christmas this year than by belting out some of your favourite carols at the Tŷ Hafan Christmas Carol Concert being held this year in the majestic Cardiff City Hall on Thursday 9 December starting at 6.00pm
The new venue means that afterwards carollers can step out of the concert straight into this year’s fantastic Winter Wonderland where they can take a turn or two around the ice rink or view the city’s Christmas lights from the top of the Big Wheel. What a way to start the festive season !
“The Tŷ Hafan Carol Concert has been an extremely popular event over the years, traditionally being held in Llandaff Cathedral” commented Helen Gibbons from Tŷ Hafan.
“We felt that the concert needed a change of venue this year and where better than the magnificent City Hall in the heart of the capital”
Those attending will be greeted by the fabulous Barry Brass Band and Christmas refreshments in the Marble Hall before taking their seats for an evening of festive treats.
Host and TV presenter Rhodri Owen will be joined by a choir line up which includes City Voices, Cardiff, Ysgol Gwaun y Nant, Glan-yr-Afon Primary School and Howell’s Senior Girls’ Choir.
All proceeds from the evening will help Tŷ Hafan to continue providing it services to life-limited children, young people and their families from across Wales.
