It was announced today that there is no winner in the Blaenau Gwent and Heads of the Valleys National Eisteddfod Drama Medal competition.
Speaking on behalf of his fellow adjudicato Mari Emlyn,Cefin Roberts spoke during the ceremony on the Pavilion stage today:
“There was only one real contender we could consider this year, and this was Y Tonnau’n Ddistaw’s attempt. After long discussions, we had to balance its strengths and weaknesses, and unfortunately, it is with great sadness that we announce that there is no winner for this important competition this year.”
The Medal was presented in memory of Urien Wiliam by his widow Eiryth and their children Hywel, Sioned and Steffan.
