THE new sales chief of a group of companies that specialises in glamping and hot tubs is looking to recruit at least 10 people to help fuel the huge growth in business.
After masterminding a series of high-value deals since he joined Carbon Zero last September, 40-year-old Neil Jones, from Alltami, in Flintshire, has just been promoted to Group National Sales Manager.
And he says he is now looking to at least double the existing sales force to help seal even more big deals over the next 12 months.
The Carbon Zero Group, founded by multi award-winning entrepreneur Gareth Jones, includes a range of businesses across a number of sectors, including energy conservation, home improvements, leisure and training.
Neil has been in sales for the past 16 years and since 2010 has specialised in the solar and renewables industry.
Prior to joining St Asaph based Carbon Zero he spent two years in Pakistan working with government ministers and departments on the installation of a number of large scale projects in solar energy and other renewable solutions such as waste-to-power, hydro power, biomass and battery storage systems.
Last autumn he joined Carbon Zero as Sales Manager and has just won promotion to Group National Sales Manager responsible for various arms of the group.
This includes specialist energy saving company Carbon Zero Renewables, Home Improvements UK, UK Leisure Living, which is Britain’s first dedicated glamping construction company and with the hot tub show room now open in Mochdre, training provider YouTrain and the Carbon Zero Foundation which provides help and support in local communities.
Neil said: “We have secured a number of high class deals with the area’s top lodge sites including Plas Coch on Anglesey.
“Other recent contracts include a sophisticated infra-red heating system at Venue Cymru in Llandudno, solar panels for a development of holiday cottages in Trearddur Bay, Anglesey, and similar solar schemes at commercial units in Ruthin, the Waterloo Hotel in Betws-Y-Coed and a care home in Wrexham.
“The heating system for Venue Cymru was a particularly exciting project because infra-red heating, which in this case we have installed `floating’ from the ceiling, works by warming people rather the air around them as traditional heating does.
“I was brought in last year to maximise our commercial sales on the solar side and I think we’ve managed that pretty successfully and I’m now turning my attention to the group as a whole.
“At the moment we have nine sales people working in various parts of the group but we are planning on building that.
“We are aiming for huge growth in all our businesses in the coming years and we are bringing in people to help move things forward.”
“We’re expanding the team by at least 10 people and I’m looking for sharp-minded, experienced sales people to join the team and become area development managers.” working within in the various sectors that we service as a group. The opportunities are exciting for us all.
Neil added: “The goal is to continue to grow the Carbon Zero Group across all its entities.
“We are in a number of key and buoyant markets and our aims are to help commercial and industrial clients to reduce their energy costs and those in the tourism industry to increase their revenue.
“One of the main reasons I joined Carbon Zero was because of the foresight, vision and entrepreneurial spirit of our Managing Director Gareth Jones and the whole team and being able to grow with the ever-expanding group is a very exciting prospect.”
Gareth Jones said: “We were delighted to welcome Neil to Carbon Zero last year because of the wealth of sales experience and drive he brought with him.
“He has now won a worthy promotion to the pivotal role of Group National Sales Manager and has already embarked on an ambitious programme to bring in valuable new business in every area of our operations.”
