This year NIMN Week is taking place during the first week of November (2nd-6th).
Not in My Neighbourhood Week (NIMN Week) is a dedicated week of communications activities aimed at raising awareness of the work that is being done across England and Wales to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour and highlight what is being done to keep people and communities safe.
A key aim of the week is to inform locals what action is being taken in their area in order to;
- increase public confidence in their local agencies and police and;
- encourage the public to play their part.
The week provides an excellent opportunity for local partners, including Local Authorities, local police, Neighbourhood Watch schemes and residents associations to demonstrate the work that is being done to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour and substance misuse use in their area.
NIMN Week offers an excellent opportunity to carry out high visibility activities, for the hard work of the Isle of Anglesey County Council to be recognised amongst the residents of Anglesey.
During this week representatives from NIMN will be distributing information packs and personal safety equipment in the community. You can come across these representatives in –
- Morrisons, Holyhead on the 3 November between 10am and 2pm
- Llangefni market on the 5 November between 10am and 2pm
More dates and locations are to be confirmed.
If you have an activity in mind, please contact Gareth B. Hughes at [email protected] to discuss.
