Neath Port Talbot Council is encouraging residents and visitors to join us on Facebook, Twitter and Flickr.
There are already a number of services in the council using these Social Media sites including Theatres, Communities First, Play Works, Climate Change, Fairtrade and Elections.
The latest Facebook, Twitter and Flickr pages to be set up are for Margam Park, with Afan Forest Park due to launch theirs shortly. Both attractions have already got a huge website following and Facebook will give people a chance to see what the Parks have to offer over the summer season.
Over 150 people have already become fans of Margam Park with many more expected to jump on board.
Ali Thomas, Leader of Neath Port Talbot Council, said, “We see Social Media as an excellent opportunity to engage with our residents and visitors. We understand that more and more people are used to looking for information online and it is only right that we develop new opportunities for them to access information about council services in this way.”
