A Fishguard tourist attraction has again won a prestigious quality award.
The Ocean Lab Centre has gained a VAQAS accreditation for its Ollie the Octopus exhibition.
It’s the second time the attraction has been given the quality seal of approval in the Wales Tourist Board-run scheme.
Councillor Rob Lewis. Cabinet Member with responsibility for Sports, Leisure, Tourism and Cultural Services, said the award showed visitors that the centre offered a quality experience.
“It shows the care that we take of our customers whatever their age,” he said.
Ollie the Octupuses’ Garden is a new and exciting exhibition at the Ocean Lab, which opened earlier this year.
Its underwater theme provides information on sea mammals, food chains, octupuses and tide pool creatures along with plenty of hands on activities and displays to suit all ages.
The long-running attraction will be constantly updated and is particularly suitable for school visits.
As well as Ollie, the centre at Fishguard Harbour also offers a soft play area, internet café and refreshments.
