Firms in North West Wales are being urged to tap into a ground-breaking £7.5 million scheme to help boost their business.
Coleg Harlech WEA is staging a drop in session on Friday, September 23, when companies can find out about the training and development opportunities on offer.
The Dyfodol project is open to all North West Wales businesses and the self employed and only costs a one off £50 registration fee for each participating employee.
However, once registered, employees can access all the courses available to help them develop their skills.
And there’s the chance to learn more about the scheme and the opportunities available and how it can benefit business at the open day at the college’s Harlech site on September 23 between 10am and noon.
According to Susan Owen Jones Coleg Harlech’s External Funding and Business Development Manager, the scheme offers affordable training and development opportunities.
She said: “All the training on offer if fully accredited and professionally delivered.
“The great thing about Dyfodol is that once the one off £50 registration fee is paid employees can access all the courses and complete as many as they need.
“It means that a self-employed person working in the outdoor sector, for example, can access a massive portfolio of courses such as leadership or team building.
“And that could help develop their skills and business for a small cost as they would only pay the one off £50 .
Coleg Harlech Principal Trefor Owen said: “At Coleg Harlech we specialise in delivering courses to meet the needs of the businesses and improve productivity.
“Dyfodol means we can deliver a wide range of courses and training for that one off payment of £50.
“For example a hotel could access a series of courses from customer service and website design to food hygiene.
Anyone registering at Coleg Harlech can also access courses at the other colleges within the partnership
Susan added: “We work in partnership with Coleg Llandrillo, Deeside College and Coleg Menai.
“Someone who registers with Dyfodol and completes a course with us can go on to Coleg Menai to tackle a second or even a third course.
“I would encourage anyone interested in developing their own skills or the skills of their staff to grab the opportunity and come along to our launch event on Friday, September 23 and see what’s on offer.”
The Dyfodol project is a £7.5 million scheme to help more than 5,000 workers in North West Wales gain new skills and drive forward productivity.
It is a partnership project between Coleg Harlech WEA, Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Deeside College.
The project has received funding of £4.6 million from the EU Convergence European Social Fund through the Welsh Government.
