This year the Conwy & Denbighshire Community Safety Partnership will be launching OPERATION MISTLETOE at the North Wales Divisional Headquarters, at St Asaph at 7pm on Tuesday 1 December 2009.
OPERATION MISTLETOE is a true multi agency partnership operation aimed at tackling alcohol related crime and anti social behaviour, which can increase significantly if not controlled properly at this time of year.
The launch will coincide with a buffet provided to door supervisors in recognition of their support over the past year, and especially during last year’s Operation Mistletoe where the crime prevented by partnership working resulted in 145 fewer offences or victims than the year before and an estimated saving of over £277,000 to the taxpayer.
This year’s initiatives will include:
- Taxi Marshall’s
- Hospital guards
- Street Angels
- Fire Safety
- Police Horses
- Sensible Drinking Messages
- Safety packs
- Extra Policing
- Operation Tube (Anti drink driving initiative)
