Following sentencing today at Caernarfon Crown Court, Detective Chief Inspector Gerwyn Lloyd said: “We welcome the sentence which totals 22 years and 9 months.”
“North Wales Police may be a small force but this demonstrates that we are more than capable of taking on organised crime groups of this type.”
“Those convicted are a small minority of the public who consider themselves to be above the law. We will use all the available policing tactics to bring these people to justice.”
North Wales Police will be making an application to the courts in due course, against Dawson and Sheriff for a serious crime prevention order – making it one of the first forces in the UK to take such steps.
A financial investigation will now also commence.
