Tŷ Hafan, seemed to have tempted fate by holding their “Let it Snow” themed London Ball at the Royal Chelsea Gardens Hospital Gardens on 25 November.
Guests who attended the glittering event were treated to a special performance from Sophie Evans, the young lady from Tonypandy who will soon be playing the lead role in Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s “The Wizard of Oz”” at the London Palladium.
She was joined by X Factor finalist James Williams from Pontypridd who sang all-time classics such as “Mr Bo Jangles” and “Fly me to the Moon”. Around 200 guests from both sides of the border thoroughly enjoyed an evening with a Welsh flavour hosted by comedian Chris Corcoran
Guest of honour was sixteen year old Amy-Claire Davies who had a wish come true by being able to attend the Ball with her mum and dad. Amy-Claire and her family have been spending time at Tŷ Hafan for the last year and were absolutely delighted to have the chance to “glam up” for a fantastic evening after sight-seeing in the capital.
All proceeds from the evening, including a champagne raffle and auction, will help Tŷ Hafan provide comfort care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families from across Wales.
