Make sure you take the opportunity to have your say on plans to improve and upgrade Parc Orme / Parc Meurig in Bethesda.
As the next step of the consultation process, an exhibition will show the latest plans and there’ll be an opportunity for people to give their opinion on the project and ask questions to Council officers. Questionnaires will also be available for people to give their comments.
Local primary school children have helped to produce a plan to upgrade the park and there’ll be an opportunity to see their hard work in the exhibition. Their ideas include an open air classroom, more benches, cycle racks, natural play equipment, interpretation boards, a challenging cycle track and an orienteering course.
The exhibition will be held in Neuadd Ogwen, Bethesda, on Saturday 5 February 2011 between 9.30am – 12.00pm. There will also be a chance to see the plans at Plas Ffrancon Leisure Centre between Monday and Friday, 7-11 February.
Amanda Davies, Gwynedd Council’s Bangor/Ogwen Regeneration Officer, said: “Successful completion of the proposed work will depends on local people’s support and input so make sure you visit and comment on the proposals.“
