A good time was had by all during the sailing of the Balmoral last Saturday.
All tickets were sold when the ship, the first for 60 years, berthed at Briton Ferry Dock for passengers to board for special day cruise across the Bristol Channel to Ilfracombe to celebrate great Western Railway’s 175th anniversary.
Over 400 passengers set sail from the council owned quay for the 12 hour trip on a glorious sunny morning.
Council Leader, Ali Thomas, said, “It was a pleasure to see the ship sailing into Briton Ferry Dock to a huge welcome from sightseers.
“It was an honour to be part of making history once again.”
