Passionate debate at UCAC’s Annual Conference

Delegates will gather from across Wales in Llandrindod Wells today and tomorrow (8-9 April) for UCAC’s annual conference.

Members of the union will have the chance to discuss policy and set UCAC’s campaigning agenda for the year ahead – including a decision on whether to ballot on strike action to defend pensions.

As a result of recent developments in Wales’s education system, there will be lively debate on issues such as literacy. Other hot topics include the devolution of teachers’ pay and conditions to the Welsh Assembly, and the destructive influence of private agencies on the education system in Wales.
