South Wales Police are investigating a Serious Road Traffic Collision which occurred at approximately 09:10 hours on Saturday 23rd August 2014, on the A4061, Bridgend close to the bus station.
The collision involved a white coloured Volkswagen Golf, which has come into contact with a male pedestrian who was crossing the carriageway, in a southerly direction from Quarella Road towards the town centre.
As a result of the collision, the pedestrian has sustained serious injuries, and was conveyed to The University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff by Air Ambulance where he is currently receiving treatment.
Police have said that they would like to thank the public of Bridgend for their co-operation during the times of the road closures and request that any witnesses to the Collision or who may have seen either the vehicle or pedestrian’s movements immediately prior to the collision to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 1400310727.
