Pembrokeshire Fish Week makes a splash

Thousands of people descended on Milford Haven Marina on Saturday for the fun-filled launch of Pembrokeshire Fish Week.

Visitors from all over Pembrokeshire and further afield enjoyed fresh fish and seafood, nautical fun, maritime exhibitions, and much more.

The heritage trawler Jacinta, which was moored at the dockside for the weekend, proved a popular draw with many people taking tours and children enjoying storytelling sessions onboard.

A new Feast on Fish marquee with celebrity restaurateurs Mitch Tonks and Matt Tebbutt and local chefs proved very popular, serving fresh fish and refreshments all day.

Welsh chef Angela Gray and champion fish craftsman Duncan Lucas held a variety of mouthwatering fish cookery and filleting demonstrations.

The day was packed with fun activities for all the family including craft, drum and fish cookery workshops, pavement-painting and magic shows.

There was also a huge variety of produce and craft stalls, a speed filleting competition, plus displays of maritime interest.
