Pembrokeshire snow update

Weather:
The Met Office has advised that Pembrokeshire could see from 5 to 10 cm of snow anywhere on the West side of the A40, drawing a line from Fishguard to Pembroke Dock. The snow will be heavy in localised areas and the weather front will remain up till lunch time.

Roads:
Priority routes are passable with care. The gritting lorries are busy on primary roads at present.

Refuse Collections today:
Cancelled for today.

Schools:
47 schools are closed including all secondary schools. 26 schools are open.

Bus Services:
All bus services are operating on main routes with the exception of

Town services and the Dale, Broad Haven and Clarbeston Road services. Coastal Buses are not operating today.

Social Services:
Day centres are closed, especially as transport cannot collect customers. Meals on Wheels are using 4*4 to continue services. There is a reduced Home Care service. The Council is also asking people to look out for elderly or vulnerable neighbours wherever possible.
