Police are investigating an incident which has left a Penygroes man with serious head injuries.
The 29-year-old man is believed to have been assaulted in the public car park opposite Povey’s garage in Penygroes on the evening of Sunday 18 April.
The assault was not initially reported to police, but when the victim fell ill on Monday evening (19th April) police were made aware of the incident.
The man remains in hospital where his condition is described as poorly but stable.
