Pupils from a North Wales School were joined by Clwyd West AM Darren Millar when they attended a Combined Cadet Force (CCF) camp in West Wales last week.
Darren Millar had the opportunity to join cadets from St Brigid’s School, Denbigh, on a mock military exercise during the week long CCF Camp in Pembrey Sands in West Wales.
Speaking after the visit Darren said:
‘As Chair of the Cross Party Group on the Armed Forces and Cadets in the Assembly, I am hugely supportive of the cadet movement and the benefits it brings to those who get involved.
‘It was fantastic to meet St Brigid’s CCF in West Wales and see them in action. It was a great day and I am certain they enjoyed the experience.
‘The girls were terrific ambassadors for St Brigid’s School and they were spoken of very highly by those who attended the camp.
‘The CCF is clearly a roaring success at St Brigid’s and I am delighted the school gives it their support – long may it continue!’
