Communities First in Llanrumney are hosting a jobs and training fair at the Eastern Leisure Centre, Llanrumney Avenue, Cardiff CF3 4DN, on Thursday 8 March from 11am to 3pm.
More than 10 employers will have stands, including Cardiff Council Fostering Service, Cardiff Works, care agencies, the Army, Royal Navy and RAF and Randstad agency.
JobCentre Plus, Career Wales, Rathbones, Kaleidoscope and other advice organisations will be on hand to help with CVs and job applications as well as give advice on training and development.
There’s also an opportunity to find out more about the Llanrumney Community Hub (formerly the library) and a chance to meet the local Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs).
Tea, coffee and a lunch buffet will be available.
Deputy Leader of Cardiff Council, Councillor Judith Woodman, said: “In these tough economic times, when career opportunities are at a premium, it is extremely important that everyone is equipped with the right skills when it comes to getting ahead. I would encourage residents who are looking for employment, or anyone who wants to find out about the opportunities open to them to come along on the day.”
