There will be plenty to do for both children and adults at Wrexham Country Parks this half term.
On Tuesday 16 February, join the rangers at Nant Mill between 1.30 – 3.30 pm to learn how to make Dream Catchers to hang in you bedroom and give you sweet dreams on those cold winter nights.
Also on the 16th, Bellevue Park will be hosting a ‘Grow Your Own Workshop’ between 1.00 -3pm. Rangers will show parents and children the art of basic vegetable growing, with equipment provided by the park.
On Thursday 18th February, the signs of spring will be there for all to see at Ty Mawr Country Park with the Spring Watch Scrap Books workshop. Make a simple scrap book form recycled materials and then take a short walk around the park looking for the signs of spring. The workshop runs between 1.30- 3.30pm.
There will also be an opportunity to help out local wildlife at Ponciau Banks on Friday February 19th. You can help give the birds a head start nest-building this spring by making a garden decoration to assist them at Rhos bowling pavilion. The event runs between 1.30 – 3.30pm
All activities cost £1.75 for all ages with an adult.
There will also be plenty to do at Wrexham’s Leisure and Activity Centre’s over the half term period upon producing a Pure Leisure Card.
Waterworld Leisure and Activity Centre will be holding free swimming sessions for Under 16’s upon producing a Pure Leisure Card. The sessions take place on a Saturday and Sunday (12- 3pm) and Monday to Friday (9am – 4pm).
Waterworld will also be holding Mini Water polo for under 16’s on Tuesday (2-3pm) and Seadoo on Friday from 2-3pm. For further information please contact Waterworld Leisure and Activity Centre on 01978 297300.
At Plas Madoc free swimming sessions for Under 16s will be held on
- Monday 10am-2pm
- Tuesday 1pm – 5.30pm
- Wednesday 2pm – 6pm
- Thursday 10am – 2pm
- Saturday 2pm- 4.30pm
