South Wales Police are investigating an incident which took place at 19:30 hours on Wednesday 19th January 2011 at the junction of Corporation Road and Penhevad Street in Grangetown, Cardiff.
An 18 year old man was assaulted by a group of males, sustaining serious injuries. The victim is currently receiving medical treatment; his condition is not believed to be life threatening.
Five people have been arrested.
