Police Appeal for Witnesses to Assault after Kings of Leon Concert in Swansea

South Wales PolicePolice in Swansea are appealing to trace four witnesses to an assault which happened after the Kings of Leon concert at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday 2nd July.

Two female friends were walking home at around 10.15pm – about 30 minutes before the event ended – when they became involved in a verbal altercation with a man and a woman who were apparently arguing.

The two friends were then assaulted. The incident happened after they had crossed the road, opposite Frankie and Benny’s restaurant.

The female suspect is described as being white, of medium build, 5ft 6 ins to 5ft 7ins in height, with her hair worn back in a bobble. She wore a coral coloured cropped, strapless top and carried a light brown or beige coloured bag.

The man is described as being around 6ft in height, of muscular build, with stubble on his face. He had light brown hair which was in a short back and sides style. He wore a navy jumper and shorts.

Police are appealing for information about the two suspects. They also want to trace four males who came to the two friends to ask if they were OK and who may have witnessed the assault taking place.
