Police in Neath are appealing for information following a road traffic collision which happened at just before 5.45pm on Tuesday 6th May in the town centre.
The incident occurred on Gnoll Park Road at the junction with Dyfed Road when a 10-year-old girl was in collision with a car, believed to be a silver/grey coloured Audi A3.
The girl suffered cuts and bruises and attended hospital to be checked over.
The driver of the vehicle was seen to slow down but failed to stop at the scene of the collision and continued to drive up Dyfed Road in the direction of the swimming pool. The driver is described as being male, white with stubble/unshaven.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who recognises the vehicle or who knows the identity of the driver to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously 0800 555 111 quoting occurrence number 1400156218.
