Police Appeal to Trace Jersey Marine Sexual Assault Witness

South Wales PolicePolice in Swansea investigating allegations of sexual assault are appealing for a potential witness to come forward.
 
A 44-year-old man has been arrested and is currently on police bail while enquiries continue into the incident.

Officers are investigating an allegation that a 32-year-old woman was the victim of a sexual assault in a silver Volkswagen Caddy van which was parked in a car park off the B4290 road near Jersey Marine.

The assault is said to have taken place sometime during the late afternoon or evening of Sunday 11th May, between 5pm and 9pm.

Police are trying to trace a man with white hair who was seen to be in the car park with a blue car.

Detective Constable Nicky Billingham of Morriston CID said: “We want to trace this man as a witness as he may have important information to assist the investigation.

“While travelling along Fabian Way in the VW van to Jersey Marine it is also reported that the suspect assaulted the victim which may have been witnessed by other motorists.”
