Police in the Vale of Glamorgan are appealing for information following a collision between a 76 year old male pedestrian and a van which occurred on Monday 8th February at around 3.00pm.
An elderly couple were walking along a narrow lane between Ystradowen and Cowbridge Road when they saw a red van approaching and stood on the verge. It appears that the door mirror of the van struck the man as it went past causing serious injuries. He was taken by ambulance to the Princess of Wales hospital where his injuries were not life threatening.
The van did not stop.
Police are looking for a red transit type panel van with lettering/marking along the van’s panels. Police believe it may be a TV aerial fitter’s vehicle.
Police would like to hear from any local residents who may have had a satellite dish or television aerial fitted on Monday 8th February.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police Constable Gareth Owens at Llantwit Major police station on 101.
