Police in Brynmawr have uncovered a cannabis factory in two adjoining houses.
A warrant was executed in the semi-detached houses in Clarence Street, Brynmawr at approximately 10.30am this morning (Tuesday 27th October).
On arrival officers found over 400 plants in a number of rooms in the properties, together with hydroponics equipment.
DI Kerry Hagerty, said:
“This a very large discovery and we are pleased that we have prevented these drugs from getting onto the streets. We take the presence of illegal drugs in our community very seriously and drug cultivation will not be tolerated.
I would like to ask local residents to alert us of any suspicious behaviour. If they believe that a cannabis factory could have been set-up in their community, then please get in contact with us.”
