Police in the Vale of Glamorgan have charged three male youths, who live locally, in relation to a distraction burglary which happened in Llantwit Major on Saturday May 1st.
Two, aged 13 and 14 years old, have been charged with burglary and another, aged 13, has been charged with handling stolen goods. A fourth youth, aged 14, will attend youth triage.
Detective Inspector, Sue Sidford said: “This was a very distressing incident for the elderly female victim, whose trusting and friendly nature was abused by these three youths. Crimes such as this are rare in this area and we want to reassure the public that we take swift action to identify who responsible for committing such an offence.
These arrests serve as a warning to anyone who may be contemplating committing a crime that they will be caught and brought before the courts.”
