UPDATE: Police have conducted extensive enquiries into an allegation of sexual assault at Cockett Park in Swansea last night.
It has now been established that no offence has taken place and police are not looking for any suspect in relation to this matter.
Police in Swansea are investigating an allegation of sexual assault against a 13-year-old girl which happened in Cockett Park at around 8.45pm on Monday 28th April.
Detective Inspector Darren George of Morriston CID said: “An investigation into what is a very serious allegation is continuing and the scene is being preserved. House-to-house, CCTV and forensic enquiries are ongoing and the victim is being cared for by specially trained officers.”
The suspect is described as being male, white, of small build, possibly middle-aged, around 5ft 5ins in height with curly hair and a small moustache. He was wearing black tracksuit bottoms and a grey jacket with a zip at the front.
Police are appealing to anyone who saw a man fitting this description in the area before or after the time of the incident to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
