Residents of Llwyneinion and Legacy had a great turn out for their Spring Tidy Up and Litter Pick Day at the end of April.
This is the second year running that residents along with the Neighbourhood Policing Team and Keep Wales Tidy have got together to clear up unsightly litter and continue with their planting improvements with more than 25 members of the local community coming out to lend a hand.
Local PCSO Ben Madeley said: ‘‘There is a fantastic community spirit in Esclusham with residents of all ages working together to achieve something the local community can enjoy.’’
Local resident Amanda Richards added: “The youngsters were really enthusiastic about litter picking and planting and are very knowledgeable about recycling and the environment as they were explaining to us adults how important it all is.”
Many more events and improvements are planned in Esclusham throughout the summer as the area is enjoyed by walkers and cyclists. Local police meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month at 7pm at the Aberoer Institute.
The next residents meeting is on Wednesday 19th May. If you would like to contact a member of the local policing team call CBM Cathy Jones on 07854 411965 or PCSO Ben Madeley on 07854 332450.
