Police in Maesteg have released CCTV images of a suspected shoplifter wanted after incidents in Wilkinson and Asda.
The suspected thief pictured has stolen from both Wilkinson and Asda in Maesteg. The suspect is wanted for stealing razors worth around £450.
Police Sergeant Robert Lewis said: “It is in everyone’s interest to reduce shoplifting. Shoplifters can be placed in one of two categories, professional and amateur. While both groups can be quite skilled at the art of thievery, professional shoplifters steal to make a living. The non-professional shoplifter may be easier to spot”.
PS Lewis added: “We want to educate shop staff, whether they work for a large company or supermarket or run a local family business. If possible we want them all to be on alert and taught the key ways to spot a shoplifter”.
