A feast of festive fun is being planned to welcome Santa back to Port Talbot.
Mayor Pam Thomas is preparing to push the button and light up Port Talbot on Friday, November 13.
Swansea Sound and The Wave will be warming up the Christmas crowds from 5pm before some local school children join cast members from this year’s Pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk to sing traditional carols.
To round the evening off, Sayers’ Funfair will be at Bethany Square Car Park.
Santa will be coming to town on Saturday afternoon.
Once again, Swansea Sound and The Wave will be entertaining the crowds in Port Talbot Civic Square while they wait for the big man’s arrival.
His sleigh will be dusted off to leave the Railway Station at 1.30pm. Santa and his reindeer will travel along Station Road before reaching The Civic Square for 2pm.
He will stop and speak to all the good boys and girls before making his way to his Grotto in the Aberafan Shopping Centre.
Neath Port Talbot Council leader Ali Thomas said: “Each year the switching on of the lights and Santa’s parade is bigger and better. I am sure that this year’s event will not disappoint the good boys and girls of Port Talbot.”
A Christmas Market will be held at the Princess Royal Theatre from 10am until 4pm.
Sayers Fair will also be in the car park until 8pm.
