Price is right for Neath

Principality Premiership champions Neath play their first midweek game of the season under the excellent Gnoll floodlights when they entertain Carmarthen Quins on Tuesday (KO 7.15pm).

Neath extended their winning run to seven games at Llandovery (34-21) on Saturday and the Welsh All Blacks anticipate an equally as feisty challenge from Carmarthen Quins who beat Bedwas 17-10 at the weekend.

The Neath squad is boosted by the return of hooker Gerwyn Price who comes in on the bench. Team changes see the return of centre Aaron Bramwell, outside-half David Langdon, prop Nicky Downs, hooker Andy Littlehales, lock Nathan Bonner-Evans and No.8 Adam Powell and flanker Adam Whitney.

Neath Head Coach Patrick Horgan said: “Although we didn’t always hit the standards of previous games, we were pleased to get a bonus point win at Llandovery because they are a spirited side who kept going to the end and will cause other teams more than a few problems.

“We face a similar challenge from Carmarthen Quins who always give of their best and who beat Bedwas, the only side to have beaten us, on Saturday.

“Once again, I’d like to thank our magnificent supporters who comprised about three quarters of the crowd in Llandovery. They want to cheer us to the top of the table and we want to reward them another good performance at The Gnoll.”
